Post-Böhmische Salzburg

The Post-Böhmische Salzburg has a long musical tradition and was founded by Franz Milacher. In 2025 Michael Kuess took over the ensemble and re-formed it. The ensemble builds on the proven quality of Postmusik Salzburg, from whose members the Post-Böhmische is formed.

It consists of a mixture of young and experienced musicians who are dedicated to the cultivation and further development of Bohemian brass music as well as music from other musical genres. The focus is on musical quality and the joy of making music together. With a varied repertoire of polkas, marches and modern pieces, the Post-Böhmische Salzburg organises concerts and events at a high level and contributes to the lively brass music culture in the Salzburg region.

The Post Big Band, which is made up of musicians from Postmusik Salzburg, is an ensemble that has been in existence since 2003. The live band is led by Franz Milacher.

The band’s repertoire includes big band music of various styles, with the emphasis changing regularly. The spectrum ranges from traditional big band sound to standard dances, evergreens, musicals, film music and pop music. Of course, the improvisation and creativity of the individual musicians is given a lot of freedom.
