As the second highlight of the 2018 anniversary year, thirteen music bands from home and abroad as well as the Salzburg Citizens Guard and the ‘Struberschützen’ from Werfen came on Saturday, May 5th, to congratulate the Postmusik Salzburg on their 80th birthday.
The music bands marched together from the Mirabell Gardens via the State Bridge to the Kapitel Place, where over 600 musicians played a concert together. Astrid Hinterberger-Stumpfl performed Whitney Houston’s “One Moment in Time” accompanied by this gigantic orchestra – suitable for this special and unforgettable day. The birthday party came to a fitting end with a joint celebration in Stiegl’s Brauwelt.
