2018 marks the 80th anniversary of Postmusik Salzburg. For this reason, numerous anniversary events are taking place this year. The anniversary year was opened with a benefit concert in favour of “Light for Children of the ZIS Bischofshofen”, at which Postmusik Salzburg presented theirself as a high-level all-round orchestra. The program included works by Richard Strauss (Kings March), Richard Heuberger (Der Opernball), and Jan Bosveld (L’Entacte), as well as from two musicians of the Postmusik Salzburg: Gerhard Kofler (Mirno More) and Sepp Leitinger (Fidelis in Patria, Polka for Franz). As solo highlights, Sylvia Halek coruscated with the Concerto Italiano for bassoon and Tobias Speigner played the alto saxophone with excellence with the well-known Granada.
